Is It Abuse?

That's obviously a rhetorical question. But just in case it isn't clear, YES, that is most definitely abuse.

Imagine being a child, only 12 years old, and having responsibility forced on you to hold the steering wheel for your father so he could smoke pot with both hands. Windows rolled up.

The fear of what would happen if I made a mistake, if he lost control of the vehicle because he was getting high, if a cop pulled us over and he went to jail. Those are just a very small sample of the enormous fears that go through a childs mind in that kind of situation.

Where was my mom in these instances? In the backseat with my brother, who is 2 years younger than me. The ultimate enabler.
